Biondi, CEO and Director of Merchants Bank, presented the check to James Angeline, principal of Pius X High School, and Louise Comunale, member of the Scholastic Foundation. This is the eighth consecutive year that Merchants Bank has supported the Foundation through similar contributions.

“Once again Merchants Bank is very proud to continue to be a participant in the Pius X scholarship program,” said Anthony J. Biondi, CEO and Director of Merchants Bank, adding, “through Pius X’s high education standards it remains one of the elite high school facilities in the region, which assures the grooming and development of the area’s quality leaders for tomorrow.”

“We are thrilled to once again be receiving such a sizeable contribution from Merchants Bank through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program,” said James Angeline, principal of Pius X High School. “This money goes directly to help struggling families pay for the Catholic education they get here at Pius. There is always a need for this type of assistance, but now, this year, this need is greater than ever and we are extremely grateful to Merchants Bank for the support they show Pius.”
